The Best OnePlus Phone – [Top 5+] REVIEW

With “flagship killers,” or smartphones that match the essential specifications of top-tier competitors while costing less, OnePlus established its reputation.
Don’t hold that against the business because that isn’t actually how it operates anymore. OnePlus continues to produce top-notch Android phones and now offers models ranging in price from some of the most expensive to the most reasonably priced.
Even if parent company Oppo is exercising an increasing amount of influence over the operating system, OnePlus phones typically excel at pure performance, super rapid charging, and a slick software experience that’s still among Android’s best.
The top 5+ OnePlus phones that we have tested across the company’s product line are listed here, along with links to our full evaluations for a more in-depth evaluation.
The best overall is the OnePlus Nord 2T
The still-excellent Nord 2 is updated in the OnePlus Nord 2T, which can be found below on this list.
With a more potent chipset and quicker cable charging, the Nord 2T builds on what made the Nord 2 such a great phone. It is also officially less expensive than the Nord 2 despite these upgrades.
Not only is this the best OnePlus phone available right now, but it’s also the best mid-range phone available from any manufacturer.
2. The best camera phone is the OnePlus 10 Pro.
The OnePlus 10 Pro is the company’s top flagship phone and its greatest handset in terms of photography, but the Nord 2 still outperforms it in terms of value.
With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, amazing battery life, and quick 80W wired charging, this flagship is still outstanding (plus wireless charging to boot).
There are disadvantages. The camera arrangement is powerful but uneven, and at this budget you’ll still find somewhat better photography from Samsung or Apple. There is no official IP rating (although a T-Mobile US variation with the same build quality does have the certification – make of that what you will).
3. OnePlus 10T – The best performance model
The OnePlus 10T is a cost-effective flagship that falls somewhere between the Nord 2T and 10 Pro.
Although it lacks amenities like the curved display or alert slider, the design is identical to that of the 10 Pro. However, while having premium specs like that phone, it really outperforms the Pro because to a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU and lightning-quick 150W wired charging.
The camera is where it falters because, while costing somewhat more, it has essentially the same photography setup as the Nord 2T. Although photography enthusiasts may benefit more from the 10 Pro, it is the best OnePlus option for gamers or those attracted to the fastest charging.
4. Best on a budget: OnePlus Nord 2
With a fantastic blend of specs, features, and pricing, the Nord 2 was for a considerable period of time the best OnePlus phone for the majority of users. In fact, we dubbed it the best mid-range phone of 2021. The Nord 2T may have replaced it, but if you can get the Nord 2 on sale, it’s still a great value.
The Nord 2 features an unobtrusive glass design, rapid 65W charging, a fantastic main camera (taken from the top-tier 9 series), and a bespoke MediaTek CPU.
Given the pricing, it makes obvious that you won’t receive top flagship features like waterproofing or wireless charging. Perhaps even more unexpectedly, the display can only run at 90Hz instead of 120Hz. Despite this compromise, we don’t think many people will object.
5. The excellent Indian choice, OnePlus 10R
Only available in India, the OnePlus 10R is nevertheless well worth considering if that’s where you are.
This mid-range phone shares certain similarities with the OnePlus 10T, including identical cameras and a 150W charging port (although a less expensive 80W option is also offered).
The MediaTek Dimensity 8100-Max found here is no slouch, despite not having the same Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip. Although it’s not exactly top-notch, it won’t let you down and keeps the phone significantly less expensive than the 10T.
6. Oppo 9RT
The OnePlus 9RT is undoubtedly the greatest phone in the 9 series for 2021, thus it’s a bad that it’s only available officially in China and India.
It employs the same Snapdragon 888 chipset and 120Hz AMOLED display as the OnePlus 9, but with a slightly larger, 6.62in display. It also shares the same overall design language.
Although the main camera on the 9RT is now a 50Mp ultra-wide sensor from the 9 Pro, the results are still good, especially given the lower pricing of the phone.
This OnePlus 9 phone isn’t the most powerful, but by settling for a little less, it achieves a little more.
7. OnePlus Nord N20 5G
If you live in the US or Canada, the only two countries where it is available for purchase, the Nord N20 5G is a nice smartphone that offers respectable value for your money.
Even though it just costs $300, it feels expensive in the hand. A great victory for OnePlus is that the phone’s appearance and feel are comparable to more expensive models like the Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G or Galaxy A53.
Also available is the Snapdragon 695 chipset, which, although not being Qualcomm’s top-tier CPU, offers respectable performance.
Of course, there are some drawbacks, such as the display’s low refresh rate, the lack of official waterproofing, the vibration motor’s weakness, and only getting one Android upgrade. However, these issues won’t deter everyone.
